This has been discussed over the years, yet no response or addressing the issue. This does need a follow up. Here I have collected all the comments throughout the years in one all encompassing section keeping the original subtitles as well. The edit by the way to Adunis was done by an anonymous editor 71.196.20.1 who made Adonis (poet) a redirect. His or her last edit in Wikipedia was in 2015 as a non-confirmed editor. And then he disappeared. But his erratic work regarding this titling has survived all these years. I yet have to find a single person who defended Adunis instraed of Adonis (poet). The amount of support for Adonis (poet) is overwhelming to 100%. And contrary to general belief, this is not similar to Mohamed / Muhammad issue. In that case it is the dammeh in "mu" whereas in Adonis' case it is not a dammeh but with a "Waw" which is read as "o" in Arabic. See even the pronunciation guide we use in the page itself [ʔadoːˈniːs]) which is a "o" and not a "u". werldwayd (talk) 00:30, 4 May 2021 (UTC) werldwayd (talk) 00:42, 4 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
