Regarding your the recent edits on this article I should point out that Jay Robert Nash's Encyclopedia of World Crime, as well as Robert J. Kelly's Encyclopedia of Organized Crime, state conflicting dates for Paul Kelly as 1871 and 1859 respectivly. While the gravesite link I listed is, I believe, a valid source it is also one which casts doubt if the grave is the actual grave of Paul Kelly. Also the removed links of Razor Riley and James Ellison, prominent gunmen of the early 1900s, as well as those of existing articles of gunmen Richie Fitzpatrick and Johnny Spanish, and the removal of much of the former text including the details of the Fourth Ward election and assasination attempt leading to the closing of the New Brighton club, I feel are of particular importance to the article. I certainly greatly appreciate the recent edits however I would ask that further major edits be first discussed on the Discussion page before hand. Thank you. 209.213.71.78 15:02, 12 Apr 2005 (UTC)
Nash's books are not reliable sources. While the birth date on the grave stone may or may not be correct, the death date on it is. Kelly's obituary in the April 5, 1936 edition of the New York Times is proof of that. Additionally, Kelly was born in the United States and his parents came from mainland Italy, not Sicily.RickW7x2 (talk) 16:42, 24 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Editors have written about the criminals with zest, but it is too bad they didn't bother to add the required inline citations, especially on disputed issues, so that people might know where the content comes from. The entire article could be deleted, as it is effectively unsourced. Parkwells (talk) 15:16, 7 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
